Throttle my internet, will you? WELL I'll THR- *ahem*

I still don't know how we managed to cap our innernet in the first place. ANYWAY: SKETCHDUMP!

Thought I'd separate the unusual (slash new) with the usual. Also me forgetting where the angle of the mandible goes.

Boredom sketch from almost two weeks ago. Screwed up the shapes and sizes of the ilia and made the whole thing generally too *tall*, but woo, pelvis! Also labeled what I could because yay anatomy! (I still think "let's go draw pelvises together" sounds kind of... suss. Dunno why. I blame uni friends.)

Had a study session at the museum, and while going over bony markings of the pelvis, turned it upside down and oh hey, it looks kind of like a samurai hat LET'S DRAW THAT. Also lost in all this ridiculosity is me experimenting with noses.

More of the usual. Also the end result of the nose experimentation, which I've been sticking with since.

Really happy with this! Pretty much pulled out all the easy ways of differentiating males and females, though (angles of the mandible and straight vs curved lines in particular). This probably marks the point where learning to draw long hair becomes kind of important.

I'd call this the usual, but zomg a hat! Well, beanie. Easiest of all hats to draw. But still! Drew this on Monday, and am disproportionately happy about it because I couldn't draw a bloody thing right all weekend/Monday morning.

END SKETCHDUMP

All lights reversed

For lack of a better title, have an awesome Serenity song.

Messing around until the image is basically black and white is killing too much time, so HERE IS SOME LAZINESS. :D

I still have issues with eye size in coronal views (see previous), but it's even worse in sagittal views (see above). This dude's eyes are probably a shade big, which is better than my usual. Also that's supposed to be a collar down there; they're hard to draw in the artificial positions like this. :(

I'm definitely sticking to my most comfortable things too much as of late. Gonna have a shot at something different on the weekend/next week, I think.

Adorable bunnies are being punched

Have I mentioned I have a lot of breaks this semester? Still can't complain compared to some friends (and still want to kick others in the FACE), but 18 hours of teaching with 8 hours of nothing (and that's discounting 2 hours of ECU-related stuff) means a lot of free time.

Drew these on FMB (functional musculoskeletal anatomy B) lecture notes because they were handy. Not during the lecture, though; too much to concentrate on. For this subject, anyway. Muscle mechanics, on the other hand...

Yeah, that's Comic Sans. The offending lecturer is such a good teacher - and tutor, for those lucky enough to have him - that he is forgiven. :] Was having a go at drawing Josey of Nothing Better (same links as yesterday), again pretty much doomed to failure given how unfamiliar I am with the series. Still working on varying features more (especially faces of different lengths), mixed results.

Still can't quite figure out Asian features. Kind of cheating here, with the very Asian eyebrows, but hey.

Wondering if I should make myself post x times a week, so that I'll draw regularly but won't be burning time on the "scanning" process every day. Hmm.

WHAT YOU SAY?!

First of all: don't get your hopes up.

Seems that this whole blogging thing's kinda fallen off the radar for us. Twitter can probably be blamed for that (look at me, deflecting responsibility), but yeah, I kind of lost interest in the deal. That and I don't have time to write posts of any appreciable length (ie. non-tweets) these days anyway.

So! I'm hoping to restart this just as a sketch blog. I've been trying to teach myself to draw since about last October (read: pre-matriculation exam period), and am now sufficiently unembarrassed by my drawings to share them a bit, I think.

...'course, that said, I tend to hate anything I've drawn more than a week ago. That may or may not be a paraphrase of something Jeph Jacques says a lot.

My present problem is a lack of a scanner. I'm making do with a (terrible) phone camera for the moment, but yeah, will get a scanner soon. I hope.

[That's the biggest resolution. Phone camera and all.]

This was just me trying to get back into the drawing groove after having drawn nothing for a week, so nothing special here. Still not quite sure on toon-ising hair; this was a go at a sort of Ryan-ish hairstyle (of Nothing Better, N[quite]SFW), but a new webcomic, from memory, was pretty much doomed to failure.

ANYWAY! Here's to hoping I can get into a habit with this. Maybe a scanner first, though.
